Examples are written in Chinese charaters, pinyin and in English. The lessons give precise descriptions of the different parts that make up a single character, clear stroke-by-stroke instructions for writing it, as well as example words and phrases. Gives information about the different phases of development of Chinese characters. The book is organized in alphabetical order according to the pinyin pronunciation of the characters. Volume 2 continues from where the first book left off, progressing to more complicated characters.
